Body Art
Aftercare for all body art including fine line or traditional body tattoos.
After your tattoo session, I may apply a second skin—a clear, protective bandage designed to shield your fresh tattoo from bacteria, friction, and moisture. This should stay on for about three days. When it’s time to remove it, gently stretch the film away from your skin rather than peeling it off like a sticker to avoid irritation. Once removed, wash the area gently with a mild, fragrance-free soap such as Dial or Cetaphil (I personally recommend Cetaphil). Let your tattoo air dry, then lightly pat in a small amount of aftercare ointment—it should hydrate, not smother, the skin. During healing, avoid prolonged heat, soaking, or sweating; no tanning, hot tubs, saunas, or strenuous activity. Once peeling and flaking are complete, you can resume normal routines. To preserve vibrancy long-term, always apply sunscreen to prevent premature fading (post the 7-10 day healing period).
