Piercings
Aftercare information for all ear/nostril piercings.
After your piercing, it’s normal for the area to feel slightly red, tender, or itchy for the first few days. It’s very important to avoid touching the piercing with unwashed hands and to minimize movement of the jewelry—less movement means faster healing. Clean the area twice daily using a sterile saline spray, applying it to both the front and back of the piercing. Gently wipe away any excess product afterward, as the site should not remain moist; it needs oxygen to heal properly. Avoid swimming pools, hot tubs, and saunas for at least two weeks.
Check your piercing weekly to ensure you can still see the post from the back and that any swelling or redness decreases within the first week. A downsize appointment is recommended at six weeks
